The desk based territory Account Manager will develop and handle existing accounts and dedicated to expand into new exciting markets. Find new customers, build and maintain relationship with existing, understand their needs, identify new opportunities and translate these into Canon products and services. Contribute to the short- and long term unit, margin and revenue targets of the Canon organisation by selling products (from the assigned portfolio) and realise optimal customer satisfaction. Canon Wide Format customers are typically creators or users of technical information, normally employed within the top UK Construction, Architects, Engineering, companies or Universities, Local Government and reprographic organisations. Using your strong account management skills you will aim to consistently achieve against financial and other key performance indications as agreed by yourself and the Regional Management team to drive profitable business Your desire to be ahead of this industry sector, the role gives you the opportunity to keep abreast of new products and services within Canon, understanding the benefits they could potentially deliver to new or existing customers, and their positioning against competition We expect you to have strong analytical and performance monitoring skills - keeping ahead of progress against key performance indicators through the preparation of sales plans performance, through key milestone stages, identify, target and win New Business opportunities, driving activity within a specified area and generate suspects/prospects. Self Development is important at Canon and you will be encouraged to take further training to develop your skills to you may need to become successful in the role with the support and guidance of your team leader. You will need to be an excellent communicator, have a real passion for selling and a consistent track record in excelling in sales. Training will be given on Canon's products and software. Maths & English Language GCSE Grade A to C ideally or equivalent as a minimum. Competent skills in Microsoft Office including Excel are required. You Will Need: You will need to have strong business insight, excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to getting excellent results. Focussed on the customer, you will listen to their needs. Using your negotiation and influencing skills you will look for business solutions that are cost effective and workable. With planning and organisational skills well tuned you will handle your own work load and help others across the team.
