Client Development Manager One of the UK’s leading drainage claims management companies currently has a vacancy for an experienced Account Manager / Business Development person. The company predominantly works on behalf of Insurance companies, managing drainage claims (from start to finish) on binding delegated authority contracts. Part of a larger group, they provide drainage services to Key Account Customers throughout the UK. Position: Client Development Manager Location: Birmingham, with travel Job Type: Full Time, Permanent with Probationary period Salary: £32k circa depending on experience Closing date: 16th October 2017 About the role: As a Client Development Manager, you will manage one or two smaller insurer accounts plus a small number of commercial reactive accounts including the likes of the AA Home Services. In addition to this, you will be required to undertake some business development activity in target market sectors, involving the completion of online tenders, making your own appointments / holding meetings and attending “Meet the Buyer” events. With role will be office / home based (at least 3 days in the office, with travelling to see clients as and when required, nationally) Responsibilities: - Operate as the main point of contact for assigned Accounts as well as the go to person for all internal queries or escalations - Track and monitor performance metrics for individual accounts - Coordinate with CSC handlers and customer services, to ensure consistent service delivery to all Account customers - Run and submit monthly Management Information reports for nominated accounts Diarise and attend regular Client Review Meetings, to begin with some of these will be joint attendance with the Client Services Manager - Develop and maintain long term relationships with existing Account contacts. - Identify new business opportunities in target sectors and maintain sales pipeline - Update `Netsuite’ marketing database on all new web enquiries that require quoted works - Assist Client Services Manager with any continuous service improvements projects / new insurance tenders, etc About you: - Sales / Account management experience ideally from within a solutions sales environment - Reasonable knowledge of the UK drainage market key suppliers - Ability to demonstrate working in a reactive customer-facing market - Understanding of the insurance industry what Household claims handling entails - Strong negotiation skills, with a good level of commercial awareness - Excellent communication and presentation skills - Ability to communicate Account needs with internal staff - Good time management - BA / BS Degree is desirable You may have experience of the following:Key Account Manager, Sales Manager, Account Manager, Account Management, Business Development, Business Development Manager, Sales Executive, Internal Account Manager, Internal Sales Executive, Relationship Management, Reactive Service Industry, Drainage, Utilities, Client Services Manager, etc. We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from under-represented areas of the community.
