COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER STRATEGIC PLANNING &PERFORMANCE BASE NEGOTIABLE WITHIN ARGYLL &BUTE 37.5 HOURS BAND 5 £22,440 - £29,034 FIXED TERM FOR 1 YEAR DUE TO FUNDING ALLOCATION We are looking for a Communications Officer to support the Communication Manager in the delivery of the Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) Communications and Engagement Strategy and related Action Plan. The postholder will be responsible for: • Contributing to developing and promoting a culture in which effective communication is an integral part of HSCP business. • Supporting the Integration Joint Board, clinical and other leaders, managers, and staff to communicate honestly and effectively with the wide range of internal and external stakeholders. • Promoting and maintaining a positive public profile for the HSCP and enhancing our reputation as a provider of high quality health and social care services, and a major employer. • Developing and implementing the HSCP’s internal communications plan to create a climate of involvement, engagement and trust ensuring a co-ordinated approach and providing an ongoing analysis and evaluation of internal communications • Contributing to the development of skills and capacity of HSCP staff to communicate and engage in an open and clear way with a wide range of external staff, partners, communities and user of services. Candidates should have excellent verbal/written communications skills and proven and demonstrable experience of effective working in a communication, PR, journalist or marketing role. Excellent interpersonal skills including tact, diplomacy, discretion including the ability to work with and influence a wide range of individuals from a variety of different backgrounds is also essential.
