As Westminster’s leading housing management company, we manage over 21,000 homes, a mix of leasehold and social housing. We are looking to appoint a Consultant Manager within our capital programme team to manage consultants appointed to administer the remaining traditionally procured major works projects. The Consultant Manager is a key member of the capital programme team and will ensure projects are properly administered and exceptional standards are delivered by contractors engaged to complete the works. You will work with appointed consultants to deliver safe, timely, good quality and best value projects within significant programmes of work. Your responsibilities will include tracking and reporting on the progress of all projects from inception through to rectifications of defects, final account and handover to the building and maintenance, mechanical and electrical teams. The successful candidate must have comprehensive knowledge and experience of programming, quantity surveying, contract management and design. Experience in operationally leading / supervising a team of professionals in delivering a programme of work is essential. You will need to be an excellent communicator, written and oral, giving you the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences. The role will be appointed on a fixed term basis which will conclude following practical completion of the relevant projects.
