We are currently looking for two Dispensing Assistants in our Garden Village branch, working 16 hours per week. Reporting to the Pharmacist Manager. your overall responsibility will be to participate in the whole dispensing process. The working pattern for each position will be: Position 1 Monday & Thursday - 09:00am to 17:00pm (1 hour unpaid break) Wednesday (alternate) - 09:00am to 13:00pm Position 2 Tuesday - 09:00am to 17:00pm (1 hour unpaid break) Wednesday (alternate) - 09:00am to 13:00pm Friday - 09:30am to 17:30pm The role will also involve establishing and developing long term relationships with customers ensuring to always deliver courteous and effective customer service. You will be required to assist in the delivery of all commercial pharmacy services where appropriate, including blood pressure measuring and weight management. In this role you will be required to complete administrative records, and ensure that these records are adequately maintained. You will effectively manage pharmaceutical stock and equipment, including the administration of receiving, storing, maintaining and issuing. You may be required to deliver healthcare advice and signpost where necessary. To be employed as a dispensing assistant in Rowlands Pharmacy you need a minimum of an accredited Level 2 certificate in dispensing. Rowlands Pharmacy company policy requires that you also have an accredited Medicine Counter Assistant certificate. The successful applicant for this role will be required to: Have the appropriate qualifications or; Have a level 2 certificate in dispensing and be willing to be enrolled onto an MCA course on commencement of employment or; Be willing to be enrolled onto training (level 2 dispensing & MCA) on commencement of employment on a trainee pay scale until course completion.
