Job Description Internal to North Ayrshire Council employees only. TEMPORARY UNTIL
To take a lead role in delivering training programmes and opportunities throughout North Ayrshire. KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Corporate Responsibilities * To undertake individual role in line with the Council’s business objectives and in compliance with the Council’s corporate policies and procedures. * To undertake any other reasonably required duties as instructed by Management or someone acting on their behalf, in addition to the role specific tasks & responsibilities detailed below.
Role Specific Tasks & Responsibilities * Design and oversee the delivery of educational training programmes/opportunities throughout North Ayrshire. * Manage roll out of evidence based training programmes throughout the authority. * Liaise with early years centres, classes and communities to promote and embed good practice. * Deliver and evaluate the impact of identified educational strategies to improve all aspects of children’s learning and development. * Work with other services in North Ayrshire to build capacity and develop awareness of identified educational programmes. * Support early years and educational staff on a daily basis. * Work with Principal Teachers and educational officers to enable staff to build capacity and develop skills in delivering all areas of education. * Co-ordinate referrals and collect relevant dates. * Keep abreast of changes in legalisation in relation to the service. * Complete and assist with monitoring and evaluations as required by funding bodies. * Network with other groups and agencies including national organisations. * Identify any further need for services and develop service delivery to meet the needs of families at a local level. * Co-ordinate recruitment drives for new volunteers and deliver initial and on-going training for identified areas * Manage and co-ordinate training for Practitioners. * Prepare publicity and promotional material for the service. * Ensure that audit trail for all correspondence is kept. * Attend training relevant to the post and manage and attend team meetings and relevant working groups. * To develop and support links with key internal and external partners. * To undertake continuing personal and professional development relevant to this post. Requirements ESSENTIAL / DESIRABLE CRITERIA

Essential Desirable Evidence Education and Qualifications * SVQ4 or equivalent qualification in relevant discipline or working towards.
