37 hours a week Permanent Gloucester City Homes is an independent housing association providing excellent housing management services to over 5,200 tenants and 260 leaseholders in Gloucester. We are looking for a Tenancy Sustainment Officer to work within our independent living team. The successful candidate will deliver a high quality enhanced housing management service, to develop and sustain individual service user’s capacity to live independently within their accommodations whilst sustaining and being compliant with their tenancy expectations. Coming from a background in social housing, you will have worked within sheltered housing schemes for older vulnerable people where independence is actively promoted. You will have an understanding of adult safeguarding along with knowledge of housing legislation around tenancy and income recovery. You must have excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills with a strong customer focus and an ability to understand the needs of our clients, handling difficult situations sensitively together with the ability to understand the needs of different client groups and individuals, ensuring equitable and appropriate treatment for all. You will also be able to work under pressure, dealing with emergency and challenging situations calmly and effectively. You must also have strong IT skills with experience of data collection. A clean UK driving licence is required and this role is subject to DBS check.
