Nurse Manager (General Nursing) Newport £37,791.00 Nurse Manager (General Nursing) Capel Grange, Newport £19.38 per hour, £37,791.00 p.a 37.5 hours per week Must be flexible, may be required to work during weekends and bank holidays

We are looking to recruit a Nurse Manager to lead our clinical team in Capel Grange who will actively lead on the delivery of services in our General Nursing Communities (45 beds).

The Nurse Manager is responsible for providing strong clinical knowledge, leadership and management to ensure the high standards are achieved in all areas of the home including person-centred care, clinical care and dementia care. You will work with the Home Manager and Nurse Manager (EMI Nursing) to ensure all statutory and regulatory standards are met and are aligned to codes of conduct and company procedures.

You must be RGN/RMN with current NMC PIN and strong evidence of continual professional development. A passion for teaching and mentoring qualified nurses is essential for this post, so the possession of, or the willingness to work towards, a teaching or mentoring qualification is required.

You will have experience of producing well developed care plans within in an older person setting and a proven record of leading and mentoring clinical teams with real success. As well as being able to focus on the detail of clinical care delivery, you will need to be able to see the big picture and how the role of Nurse Manager contributes to the success of the Nursing Home and the wider organisation. This includes, but is not limited to, reputation, financial security, customer service, workforce succession planning, and changes and developments within legal frameworks and best practice. You will need to be confident of your capabilities and also aware of any areas of development you may require to operate within the role. You will need to be comfortable with having the authority to make decisions appropriate for the level of Nurse Manager, and to step up in the absence of the Home Manager.

This role will require you to work occasional shifts on the floor. It is therefore essential that you are flexible with both your attitude and hours of work.
