Senior System Architect

The successful candidates will be working in development and test teams at T&VS client sites and at T&VS offices, our client is a world-wide technology leader committed to building a better future across the globe.

Required skills and experience: ·

BSc/MSc/BE in computer Science or similar with 10+ years of experience in software development
on Linux platforms ·

Domain expertise in Network/Security/Virtualisation preferred. ·

Strong hands-on experience on programming on Linux kernel for server or network or mobile product domains ·

Hands on experience in a specific driver/subsystem development in Linux kernel. ·

Good understanding of overall Linux kernel architecture ·

Experience in upstreaming, open source development tools and collaboration methods (such as git, Bugzilla, mailing list, open source licensing etc.) ·

Must be able to exhibit guru-level software development expertise and architectural experience. The
expertise should be in any one or more of the following areas: §
System software for ARM platforms on Linux (strong experience in platforms like mips/ppc/x86 also can apply) §
BSP and Driver development (Linux 2.6 or later preferred) §
Network/PCIe/Storage subsystems. §
Virtualization (KVM, Qemu, Xen etc) §
Compilers (gcc/LLVM or similar) §
File systems and Distributed fs §
Performance (Bandwidth and system performance) §
OS Hardening (Security) §
Kernel Debugging (including low level drivers/performance etc) §
Technologies like Docker, Open Stack, OpenNFV, storage technologies etc §
Multicore – Multi processing §
Kernel programming for any other specific subsystem/kernel features

Desired skills and experience: ·

Real experience on software architecture for any specific subsystem for a SoC ·

Able to work efficiently in a multi-cultural, multi-site, multi-language and changing environment ·

Able to work autonomously and/or as part of a team of technical experts ·

Creative and Innovative thinking ·

Excellent communication (both oral and written English, Chinese Language is a bonus, but not mandatory at all) ·

Focus on the particular technology

Responsibilities: ·

Developing, evaluating software solution for new SoC ·

Technology Roadmap, Software Architecture, Development Support for specific module(ARM64 SoC
specific) ·

Collaborate with Open source development to support client through the specific module ·

Enable and facilitate Linux kernel up-streaming ·

Work with the internal software and hardware team to improve the efficiency of software ecosystem
