With the re modelling of Emergency care at LNWH we have a fabulous opportunity to recruit into our acute floor. We are looking for proactive and dynamic Acute Nurses Band 5 to join our teams on the acute medical unit. The successful candidates will need to be committed to providing a high standard of patient care and will work with other trained nurses in fast moving environment. The post holder will rotate across the acute medical unit to gain valuable experience and enhance their existing skills. Dickens Acute is a unit of 34 beds which takes direct acute patients from the assessment areas who require specialist care with a short length of stay. We have recently commenced running an OPALS older persons advice and liaison service through this area in response to the demands of the catchment. Our goal is to assess and fast track patients or discharge within 4 days. Our focus is on driving excellence and pride ourselves on the care we provide. Dryden Enhanced is a 21 bedded unit incorporating 20 monitor beds; we take the level 1 and 2 patients from the Emergency pathway and the general wards and work closely with our critical care units. We are supported by Critical care outreach and have proactive clinical leads, and provide outstanding care in a busy environment. The areas are complimented by a dedicated therapies and medical team and are supported by a clinical Matron and a dedicated clinical education sister. We are currently developing a Post Graduate Masters course in Acute care. For further details / informal visits contact: Keith Lavender - Clinical Nurse Manager on 020 8869 3448
