Llanelli
area through our friendly local
. The Job Role As a
Mental Health Support Worker you will often be required to support on a 1-2-1 basis so you should have good communication skills and a calming, empathetic nature. You will support residents in the supporting living environments with
activities or to general appointments and encourage independence wherever possible. As part of this role you may also work with service users who are in acute environments and will need additional help or prompting with engaging with activities of daily living. Requirements • Right to live and work in the UK • At least 3 months’ previous paid experience working in a care or nursing home in the UK within the last 3 years • Referee contact details for your current place of work, including a manager who can comment on your clinical ability, and for all employments in the past 18 months or your 3 most recent jobs • A certificate confirming your participation in a practical moving and handling course in the last 12 months or willing to book onto a course with Newcross • You will also need an NVQ2 in Health and Social Care Click the Apply Now button to begin your application If you cannot apply online, please call 0800 252 881.
