Thurrock is a progressive local authority with big digital ambitions. We are looking for a Technology Specialist – Infrastructure to play a key role in helping shape and deliver our digital future. This role will particularly suit an IT professional with extensive experience working within a large IT environment delivering ICT infrastructure projects.

Main Responsibilities: Responsible as subject matter expert for providing advice and guidance within assigned areas of technical specialism. Contributes to defining solutions within projects, and responsible for delivering small discrete pieces of change work (e.g. CCRs). Responsible for managing, monitoring and administering the Council’s Desktop infrastructure services to ensure that the service provided meets the user needs and services are provided to the agreed Internal SLA. Responsible for continuously identify ways to improve the functionality, security, appearance, reliability and usability of the desktop environment. Contribute towards a forward schedule of change to plan the installation and testing of new versions of desktop software & hardware.
