Test Engineer

The successful candidate will provide test engineering expertise on a variety of Integration project(s) for our clients. For example, testing the latest innovative network technologies and providing testing knowledge / best practice to ensure products are delivered to required standards.

Main Responsibilities and Opportunities: * Perform test engineer role on
several
deployments, potentially
at client sites across
the UK. * Technical testing expertise on
Integration project(s), utilising understanding of networking and architecture

* Compiling and agreeing detailed test plans and test scripts. * Co-ordination of test activities with other
Test Agencies
(where applicable). * Raising and tracking issues/defects in accordance with the clients process and procedures. * Generation and management of associated
test
documentation.

Relevant Experience: Essential * At least 5
years+ experience of integration and acceptance testing of Telecommunications services and equipment. (Either working for an operator or a 3rd
party organisation). * Working knowledge
/
experience of
the latest mobile network
technologies
&
protocols. * End to end testing
experience, including knowledge of procedures for functional and non-functional tests,
and
test environments. * Technical understanding of Software development paradigms and Software Life Cycles * Previous experience of using
wireshark
to track protocol messaging.

Desirable * At least 5
years+ experience of integration and acceptance testing of Telecommunications services and equipment.
(Either working for an operator or a 3rd
party organisation). * Working
knowledge of HP ALM or quality centre. * Clear and effective communication skills at all levels. * Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Electronics, Computing, Telecommunications. * Minimum
ISTQB/ISEB Foundation level certification * Previous experience of using wireshark to track protocol messaging.

Salary: £32,000 to £45,000 Location: Bristol based but required to travel/work at client premises Hours: 45 hours per week
