The Tourism and Events Officer will be responsible for supporting the development of events in Fife and promoting events, festivals and tourism activity to attract visitors and new audiences to Fife. Fife Council pays the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate to employees earning less than £8.51 per hour. If the hourly rate of pay for the post is less than the Scottish Local Government Living Wage Rate a supplement will be paid.

Requirements Educated to SCQF level 8, which includes HND or SVQ
level 4 or equivalent such as events Management or
tourism.
Responsibilities You will support the Tourism Partnership Manager to develop and implement the Fife Tourism and Events Strategy. You will identify new strategic events and support the development of existing events. This includes evaluating applications to the Strategic Events Investment Programme and preparing reports on recommendations for investment. An important aspect of the position is for you to build strong relationships with event organisers by providing advice and guidance that will help them to build and grow Fife’s reputation as successful destination for events. The Individual You must have significant experience in the Creative Industries sector in relation to strategic planning and project delivery. You will have good leadership and motivational skills and be about to effectively network with event organisers and others, be a creative thinker and have experience of working in a complex multi-partnership environment.
